Edgar Vazquez

Based in New York City, Edgar Vazquez is known for his fashion editorial work and emotive portraits. Raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, he began his studies in photography, winning his first place in an exposition. He later developed an interest in film studies, getting a certificate in Cinematography from the University of Guadalajara in 2009. After graduating high school, he moved to New York City to further pursue his dreams, enrolling at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre to study acting. Unsure of how to navigate the industry, he invested his time in other creative hobbies which inspired him to take pictures again. Despite taking a few classes in high school, nearly everything he knows about photography is self taught. Recently, he has taken up painting as it has been something he’s always interested in.
